Also, check to see if the water chemistry is in order. A question about strip inaccuracy was recently asked on the forum. I got one response, which was very helpful, but what are other people doing with strips? Is Amazon the only place to shop?

Can you elaborate on your question? I've been using the strips in conjunction with Baqua Spa chemicals and have never had any problems.

You can lower it by adding fresh water or simply letting it come down on its own over time. I've been using Baquacil products and test strips for years, so when I ran out of test strips, I decided to order them from Amazon instead of going to my local spa supply store. As soon as the new strips arrived, I tried them out and noticed that the sanitizer spot had turned a color blue that I had never seen before. I immediately used a test strip from the remaining supply, which revealed near-perfect water chemistry (as I previously stated, I've owned a spa for years and have always kept up with maintenance). When I informed the seller of these findings, they basically said that their test strips were fine and that the sanitizer level was too high. I took a sample of water to my spa store for testing, just to be sure, and the results were as follows: Water chemistry that is close to ideal. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of test strips, but I'm not going to order from this seller again. Their return policy states that the product must be sent back to them and that they might charge 50% restocking fee. I returned their strips to them a few weeks ago, but have yet to receive any compensation. It's no longer about the money; it's about the principle. I believe I was given a defective product and had to jump through hoops in order to receive compensation. Be careful who you buy from.

When the strips run out, they're great until they're no longer useful

I've had to replace test strips that were less than a year old (one purchased on 2/15/18) and kept in a cool, dry place with the cap firmly closed twice now. Why? The BaquaSpa Sanitizer's test pad is no longer functional, which is almost the entire reason you buy the strips in the first place. Other tests (pH, alkalinity, hardness) are easily accessible and less expensive elsewhere. So. Yes, the product works, but you'll have to order new strips for each hot tub season (I only use mine during the winter). I dipped the strip directly into the sanitizer in the photo, by the way. The light blue on the left end should have been dark green and out of this world, but it didn't budge. A refund was offered by the company I purchased them from earlier this year (Number 1 in Service). totaling a whopping buck fifty percentage percentage percentage percentage percentage percentage% Okay, I understand that $15 a year isn't much. This product, on the other hand, should not be so short-lived. Last but not least, the strips I purchased on February 15, 2018, have a lot number (7215) and, presumably, a sell-by date of: 2019/6. If my understanding is correct, I should have received a replacement rather than a refund.

As in previous strips, this one isn't working for me

It's a stock photo. Many other reviews claim that these strips do not accurately display sanitizer levels. Nothing worked, including adding sanitizer, water, and leaving the spa open to allow the water to evaporate. Those workbr>br>Can't figure out where to get accurate strips based on the photo in the item. The photos show the damaged strips; the original screw-off lid, as far as I know, is still in good condition.

I continued to use it for another six months, convinced that it was me. It wasn't until I brought in a professional SPA company that said all of my problems were caused by this product; they said they had been using it for years but that something had changed in the last year or two. It will wreak havoc on your spa, so avoid it at all costs!.

The pH levels were incorrect

I bought these for quick, easy water testing and assumed that because I use Baqua chemicals, they would be the best (same brand, etc. ). However, these strips continue to show the pH as way too low even after adding pH increaser twice, so I tested the water with my Taylor pool and spa kit, and the pH tests way too high! So much for quick and easy, I'm going to stick with the "Taylor kit for Pool. " "The Chemistry of Spa Water. " When we had a pool and used the Taylor kit (which appears intimidating but is very simple to use), we always got great results. I suppose I'll have to keep using the Baqua test strips to check the sanitizer level. I'm hoping this is accurate.

The sanitizer pad is a bright blue color that stays the same no matter how much or how little you use in your spa. In addition, the bottle is not the same as the one shown. Be wary of the buyer!.

I bought a package of these strips from this seller earlier this spring, and despite the fact that they weren't expired, I found it strange that they couldn't read the Sanitizer level. I gave them one more chance because the strip color remained blue no matter how much sanitizer I added. I placed a second order for these a few weeks ago, and the same thing is happening. Neither of the bottles has reached the end of its useful life. I'm going to order these from an old spa store I used to frequent back home, and I'll update this review once I've had a chance to compare them. Be wary of purchasing from this seller.

These are ideal for checking pool chemicals that contain Baquacil. It's easy to use and understand. It's a lot easier to check the sanitation of a pool or spa than it is to collect water and add drops.
